A day among ancient furniture with gastronomic lunch and visit of the Musée Cognacq-Jay.
- you will attend the presentation of the day subject in an antique shop, you will sit in respectable armchairs or on old sofas, among furniture which will serve as practical examples
- duration: 2 hours
- we will then meet at Train Bleu for lunch
- at the time of the 1900 World Fair, for which the restaurant was fitted out, wealthy people travelled in the luxurious couchettes of the Paris-Lyon-Méditerranée railway company or in the deep blue wagons of the Paris-Ventimiglia or Orient-Express to Côte d'Azur, Rome or Istanbul
- classic french cuisine, professional service: the Train Bleu is a brasserie being a part of the Parisian historical heritage and it is certainly one of the most beautiful and most impressive station buffet in the world!
- guided tour of the Musée Cognacq-Jay. Subject: the art of furniture in the XVIIIth century
- Ernest Cognacq, founder of the department store Samaritaine and his wife Louise Jay had a special liking for the XVIIIth century
- their collections are exposed in the Hôtel Donon, in the Marais district
- lunch consisting of a starter, a main course and a dessert. Wine, mineral water and coffee are included
