English and french words are classified together in alphabetical order.

The wine glossary refers to french wines only.

About french writing: Cépages and wines are in small letters: un côtes-du-rhône, un bordeaux, un champagne. Meaning the geographical region, the same words must be written in capital letters: les Côtes-du-Rhône, Bordeaux, la Champagne.

French terms begining with vowel or with h are accompanied by the undefinite article: un or une.
